Upcoming Competition!

Hello Girlies!

So recently my subscribers list has been higher and higher and at the moment I am up to 91.
That is a TINY number compared to alot of beauty vloggers/gurus out there but I am pleased to see more people interested in seeing my videos and I have been getting daily requests for videos! I have only fulfilled one so far and that was my Make Up Collection! I also had a request to do a vlog on my MAC interview experience, a room tour, tutorials, nail tutorials, daily hair care etc etc etc.

So I will work my way through those I promise! :)

I have been collecting and buying items for a big giveaway competition on my channel for a few months now and I have what I want all ready to go now! I am going to do it as a 100 subscriber celebration and it will be a competition!

Entry will be via Video Response or Blog comment so keep tuned!! :)
I have not decided the rules etc yet, but I will reveal all soon! Definately before Christmas! :)

I hope you are all well, keep watching and requesting and commenting and THANK YOU to my 92 subscribers! I hope you are enjoying my videos so far!

Much Love and Peace

Explanations and Apologies!

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to do a blog post to explain properly why I have been MIA recently!
My last video was in June, which is so long ago that I feel terrible! Especially as I have had lots of lovely messages with video requests and am now up to 72 subscribers which is tiny I know in the grand scheme of things, but it means alot to me! :)

So the reason why I have been missing?
I got married!
I know you knew I was getting married, but now I am officially a married woman! I feel so much older saying that! My "husband" and I have been so madly busy, what with the wedding plans, organising stuff, out of town guests arriving from California, Alaska, Europe and everywhere!! Then the honeymoon, then back to work and busy busy getting everything ready for our new house we are in the process of buying!

I literally only just this week caught up with some of my subscriptions, I still have loads and loads of videos to watch from people who I subscribe to and I need to do that this week as I am off work with a chest infection, so makes sense to do that this week when I have some time!
I also plan to do a bit of filming once my nose stops looking like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer! :)

I have had 4 requests for a Room Tour and about 8 requests for a closet/clothes tour and then loads and loads and loads of requests for organisational tips videos! I think I am gonna combine the two and do a clothes and organisational tips video next!
MY very next video though, is going to be a video response and competition entry to Juicystar07's competition entry to Mark. cosmetics and that is a What's in my Bag/purse video.
I have done this quite recently I know, but I have changed loads of stuff so I may as well do another one and then enter that for the competition. I've never entered a video competition before, so hey, lets give it a go! :)

I really hope everyone is ok, please comment/message me with any requests or just comments etc and I will be sure to try and get back to you guys! Hope you are all enjoying the Autumn season! Halloween is next week! I'm staying home watching scary movies with my friends and family and having a little halloween party this weekend if I am better! Watch this space, maybe I'll video some of it! :)

Much love!

Film Recommendation and Haul Rambles!

Hey guys and girls!
So today I watched a beautiful little film, which I am sure most of you have already seen, called Letters To Juliet. It's stars Amanda Seyfried who was in Mean Girls and is a great actress, very versatile and naturally pretty. Soft. I really like her and the film is very sweet. For those who want to know a little about it, read on! But BEWARE SPOILERS!!

I missed the first 5 minutes or so, which I hate but I had to open the post from this morning and there were loads of really exciting things in there which I am going to film a few videos about this weekend and post to my channel! :)

It starts with Sophia (Amanda Seyfried) living in New York with her really annoying (to me) fiancee (Gael Garcia Bernal) who does not listen to her passions and does not seem at all interested in what she cares about. Anyway they move to Italy (Verona) which is where Romeo and Juliet lived, and she finds these ladies who take letters that girls leave in the wall there and write back to them about their love and troubles etc. It's a really sweet idea.
The original wall which letters get posted into is of course the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, Israel, which I have been to myself and put a letter into. This is obviously no where near as significant, and a totally different concept, but a sort of copy of that original idea I suppose.

Sophia decides to stay there permanently, and her fiancee works as a cook. She goes to work with these women and writes the letters too. When taking a letter out of the wall, a brick falls down, and inside she finds a letter written 50 years ago, from a British woman named Claire, who tells of the story where she failed to meet her love by a tree to run away together. She wanted advice, and was returning to London the next day.
Obviously the letter was never found, until now, 50 years later, and Sophie replies.
Later in the film, the Grandson of Claire, turns up at the office where they write from and gets angry at Sophie for writing the letter. She follows him and meets Claire and they all go on a hunt for the long lost love of her life, Lorenzo.
It becomes obvious that Sophie likes Charlie (?) the Grandson of Claire, and as her annoying fiancee is away at a wine auction and doesn't seem to care where she is, they all go off together on a hunt for the REAL Lorenzo!

So I wont go on to spoil the end, but I would thoroughly recommend it, it's a cute girly fun and romantic story, and a really relaxing chick flick type film!! :)

I got some post today, and I have filmed a Haul video which I will post soon! It's from Dolly Bow Bow and MAC! I've been looking forward to the Dolly Bow Bow products for a while now! :)

Hope you guys are having a nice weekend, and continue to do so!

Superdrug Competition

Hey guys and girls!
So today I am just blogging to let you know about a really cool competition that Superdrug's online magazine is running. The first one is only suitable for over 18s but then there are a few that appear to be for any age, but you may want to read the Terms and Conditions to be absolutely sure.

The first competition is for a Luxury Spa weekend at a fantastic big spa in Wales which looks gorgeous, and a night in a 5 star hotel and 3 course meal all for 2 people. So you could make a girly weekend, take your partner with you, maybe a parent or sibling. It would be an ideal summer gift!
But not only that, you also get 4 tickets to see Katy Perry in Birmingham, 6 copies of Whitney Port's book, some borjoir makeup goodies and a whole bundle of Durex goodies too. A great adults competition. But don't worry as there are lots more all age group relevant prizes too! I'll go onto them in a sec!

All you have to do to enter, literally, is fill out about 8 boxes on one page and click "enter"
That is it! No sign ups, no account setting...nothing!
Just about 2 minutes of your time! Well well worth it I think!

Okay, now here is a list of the other competitions, again the same entry method, just one page! One click!

  • GOSH Face primer (I have it and it is a good creamy base!)
  • 2true lipstick
  • Cherry Carmex (it's nice! makes your lips tingle)
  • Nivea Limited Editon t-shirts and creams
  • Rimmel Tropical Temptation Nail Varnish
So give them a go guys! It's gonna be worth 5 minutes of your time, you have to enter each one you like separately but you will see, it's FAST! :)

I hope this is helpful to someone, and let me know if any of you guys win anything!
I have a few videos coming up so keep checking my channel, liking and subscribing! Thanks guys! :)

A little review of my Glitzy Glam Products!

Hey guys and girls!!
How are you all? I hope everyone is looking forward to a good weekend (hopefully) and if it's not so good for you, then I hope the next one will be! :)

I've been uploading videos to my YouTube channel for a week now and I'm slowly getting some really nice comments and some subscribers etc. It's nice to be able to share my passion for this kinda thing and follow in the footsteps of some lovely ladies who also share the same passion!

The last video I did was a Glitzy Glam Haul and it had to be split into two parts, because there was quite a large amount! Well today ANOTHER box arrived, and unlike the last two where I had to pay customs £30, this one slipped through the customs net and just arrived at my door! Woohoo! :)

There were lots of things that arrived, but the one thing I wanna talk about is this:

I got a few, but this one is gorgeous and the inside is ADORABLE!
I have been using the little sticky notes for my e-bay selling and to leave people who buy my stuff little notes, because I package my stuff really nicely, we are talking colour tissue paper, ribbons, cellophane bags etc etc!

They are so cute and really good quality, I just love them! The other designs are cute too, but I just find this one is my favourite.

The inside has different segments, not exactly like this but similar:

I use the bigger part for my ebay notes and the smaller ones for "Get milk" type notes or "I love you" notes! The tiny tiny ones are great for books, studying, things I like in Wedding magazines, or just remembering to buy stuff in catalogues etc!
The cover, like the actual "lid" is really thick and they are great quality.
I highly recommend them! They are like $5 or $6 which for us is like £3 quid!! So well worth it, so long as the UK border agency doesn't jump on it! :)
I'll be doing a bit of research to see if you can get them over here, and if you can I will let everyone know :)

I will obviously be loading the Part 3 video onto my channel soon, but I just had to say that these are adorable! :) I'm super pleased with them!

My New YouTube Channel!

Hey guys!
So I am happy to say that I finally have my own YouTube channel and have uploaded my first video. It's exciting to me because I really want to be able to share with you, tips and ideas on how to store make up, how to organize your wardrobe, show you how I do things or store things, and give you a little insight into what I love and don't like!

My plan is to do reviews, Hauls, storage videos, tours of stuff like my wardrobe (closet) and my dressing table/vanity area etc etc. And then as well as that, I thought I would throw in some collection videos, because apart from my horse and my theater/music shows and career (I have been in theater etc since I was 5 and been singing for years,I just put my first demo out there so fingers crossed!) all I collect is makeup and bags/purses etc and jewllery. Girly stuff basically, so I am quite proud of my collections to be honest! And it would be nice to share that with you guys if you are interested! If not, then just don't watch that is fine! :)

My first video is a MAC, Benefit and Playboy Haul, and the one thing I'll just quickly explain a little bit is that you don't see me in the video. The reason is that 4 weeks ago tomorrow, I had spinal surgery. I had 3 slipped discs from a riding accident (I have a horse) and they had to go in and take the disc out. I'm really lucky and am healing so so well, they are really pleased with how I am going and I am almost pain free!

Well the short of it is, I am not allowed to sit down or have too many showers a week because of the wound etc, so A - I can only lie down or stand up which does not make for good videos unless I do ones lying down showing you stuff or standing and showing you stuff and B - Not being able to style my hair properly doesn't make good first impressions, so they will come but for now, it's face-less vids for the next few weeks! Sorry guys!

Right well, I guess that is it!
If you have ANY requests just comment my channel and I'll be sure to do them for you while I am off work and please Subscribe if you like my videos or want to see more! I have two planned for tonight, so have lots to do!

Check out my channel and thanks for watching guys!

Avon Haul - New Summer Look collection!

Hey guys! So I am gonna be doing a Haul today, because my new Avon products just arrived for all my customers, and with it came my Demo products that Avon send out at cost price to their representatives in order for us to try them out and give feedback and show customers so that when they appear for real in the catalogues, they will want to buy them having seen them in real life!

So the first thing I got was this set of earrings, they are Havanna burnished brass-plated pierced hoop earrings with coloured wood and glass beads.

I picked them out as a demo product because at the moment I'm really into spring and summer colours, brights and pastels and thick block colours. I think they can really make a statement and earrings can literally make an outfit!!
The hoop is quite thin and if you are not careful can bend, but generally they see good quality and the beads are well attached and solid. It comes in a black box with pink lining and they come separately wrapped to avoid them rubbing. I am thinking these will look great with my Victoria's Secret Honeymoon Beach Wear like the white camisoles and boob tube dresses, maxi dresses etc etc. That type of thing! Only 2 months to go now, so honeymoon pieces are always on my mind! Best thing about them? Normal price will be £6 and I got them as demos for £2.10! Bargain!
If anyone would like a pair, I can get them for £3 introductory price and ship them to you!

The next thing I got was something I had immediately fancied, and it's a bit silly but I just love it, it's summer and fun and bright! And that is this Pink Flamingo with glass and diamante detailing!

This is a fantastic buy, and it is in far better quality than I expected. Not that they are not normally, but this one looked like a fun kind of cheap piece but it really isn't! It is amazing! It is silver plated and very thick, the pendant is rounded and thick and the glass is smooth and very colourful. I adore this piece! I am willing to do free shipping on this one if anyone wants it, and it's going to be £8.50 normally but I am going to be offering it for £5 for a limited time only. I really love this one, I'm wearing it right now and I just love the fun funky feel of the flamingo and how bright and smiley it is! :)

Next up, was a freebie! This was kinda cool because, I got some summer brights knickers (TMI?) lol and that meant that those plus the two pieces of jewelery made me eligible for a free little dotty purse!
It's cute and I am gonna use it to put coins in and keep in the car or gym bag, it's just a cute little freebie!

And finally I got two cosmetic type products, one of which is the Lavender Foot Cream, I love lavender it is and always has been one of my favorite scents! The tub is a good size, travel friendly but not small. It smells lovely, not too over-powering and the cream is actually light purple which I think is a nice touch. I haven't used it yet so there is not too much I can actually say about it yet, but I like the look and smell of it, and I am hoping it is gonna be a product that I enjoy using!

The watermelon scented room and linen spray was my final Haul piece and I adore it! It's gorgeous and smells so so nice!! I spritzed it on my cardigan and around the room earlier and the scent lingered for ages and it is such a clean, lovely smell. It really is very fresh and summery! I am going to be taking it with me on the plane when we go away, because that stuffy plane smell is so hot and sticky and this is gonna make me feel alot more at home! It reminds me of the cherry blossom hair refresher spray I got from them, which is also great! I feel like the Avon products have really improved in the past few years, I genuinely love using them! I mix Avon with my usual buys like MAC and Benefit etc, and some of their products I would highly recommend! :)

So that is all I got today, apart from catalogues and samples etc to give to my customers! I thought I would share it!
If anyone wants to buy from my Avon business just let me know, I often do deals and freebies etc so just let me know! I can post you a free catalogue and samples based on your skin/hair/eye specifics! :)

See ya soon!
xoxo

Benefit Review - You Rebel Lite and All you Need is Gloss

Benefit Review
You Rebel Lite - Tinted Moisturizer
All you need is Gloss - 24K Lip Gloss

So today I am going to be reviewing my first beauty products. I am only going to be reviewing new products because I don't see much point in going over old things I use in case they can't still be purchased. Otherwise what would be the point in reviewing them! The only time I'll be going over old products will be on "Routine" blogs or "Outfit of the Week" blogs etc etc.

So Benefit is a brand I really like, it's very cute and kitsch and stylish. It's always packaged wonderfully, and has vintage writing or names and is just generally very cute and unique. Until Soap and Glory came along, I don't really think there was another cosmetic brand like it really. I first tried Benefit when I was really really young, maybe 13? You wouldn't think it was that old, because it was not available over here in the UK back then, but my Mum's friend from San Fransisco where Benefit was created, bought me over some dazzle dust loose eye shadow and that is where it first began!

I've always wanted to try You Rebel as I like a tinted moisturizer. It tends to be lighter than heavy liquid foundations, and so if I want liquid coverage I will tend to go for a tinted moisturizer or a very light liquid.
So I got it at Boots a few weeks ago and have been trying it out. It was £22 which is not the cheapest, and may sound a little steep, but I do think it is worth the price because for that you get 50mls and it is a very good quality tinted moisturizer. It gives very even coverage, and I find that if you get one of those annoying little spots that crop up just when you least expect it, it does cover it very well. It deals with redness well, it makes your skin look very even and not at all as though you have done the "trowel" on your face!

It also works well as a base, and then putting a bit of extra coverage like MAC studio fix or something similar with a bit of bronzer of blusher ontop. The powder sets the base well and it feels like you can leave it all day and not worry about having to touch it up all day. Good, all day coverage.
That said, it is also something that you can wear alone, no bronzer and nothing else on top, for a more natural look. More importantly, especially now-a-days with all the knowledge we have on sun and skin cancer, it also contains an SPF for your face. So you know you're covered! ;)

I got The "Lite" one because as we all know,I am very pale. Even in summer with a bit of a tan I am still too pale for the original You Rebel. The original is very dark and a little bit orange, so if you are in doubts, ask the Benefit girl at the counter as they are always quite helpful.

So, onto the second part of my Benefit review! I got these when I went on a last minute trip to Hobby Craft for some ribbon and bits for the wedding. Mum and I stopped into Boots for some summer moisturizer and random bits and bobs, and at the counter was this Benefit set of glosses on sale! As I say Benefit is normally quite pricey, but this set of 3 double ended lip glosses was only £13 and that means you get 6 colours!
I saw the gold one, and couldn't resist! Gold make up is my thing at the moment....don't ask! :)

In the set on the top row from left to right you have:

I'm with the Band
24K
Life on the A List

The bottom row from left to right you have:

Almost Famous
Back to the Fuschia
Who are you wearing

I'm a mega lip gloss fanatic, and MAC do the best ones with soft and almost marshmallow like glosses, then SK do really nice soft ones, and these are just the same, Thinner in consistency but not sticky at all.
I like the fact that it stays on for quite a long time and the brush is a soft white sponge type angled brush.
The others are pretty too, and all soft and shiny, not too over the top with a clear sheen so they are not too coloured.

Interestingly, they also have a gorgeous smell. Not as nice as the MAC white chocolate smell their lip products have, but nice nonetheless. Enough to make me lick my lips anyway! (re-apply time!) LOL.

Now they are all gorgeous and the packaging is lovely, snug in a little box and with the cute retro lips around the box and the swirly writing on the cover. It's very nice, and the box doesn't need breaking to open, it just slides open, so you can keep them in there if you want. But the best one, has to be 24K. It's not glittery as it looks, it is just very subtle and shiny, not sticky AT ALL and I really hate sticky glosses.

So the set is good and they are well worth the £13 when you think one MAC gloss is £12! :)

I hope you all enjoyed this review, my next review is going to be on hair products that I got today!
I plan to do a few photo blogs like "What's in my bag/purse" and "My skin care routine" type blogs!
If anyone has any requests, I am more than happy to do them! :)
Ciao! xxxx

Rhinestone Ramblings - What's to come....

So this is one of two blogs, the first is the journal of my spinal surgery and recovery, and I am still going to keep that one going strong and updated, because I feel that it's important to share what I went through, and show how well recovery can be and go through the ups and downs!

Then there is this blog, which for anyone interested is going to be a Beauty review blog.
I have always been interested in the world of beauty and hair care and accessories etc. I've been building my makeup collection for example for years now, and on a recent stock take, it was worth well over £2000.
I do make up for friends, I do looks and themes, I do extensions and false eye lashes, I do nails and make overs. It's just a hobby, but I love it and enjoy it.
I'm also an independant avon rep and I love sharing those products too, and giving samples out, doing trials etc!

So the idea of this blog is going to be reviews on new products, photos of the products and the products in use, what I think, what I like/don't like etc. MAC, Barry M, NARS, Benefit, Loreal, Purple LAB inc.....pretty much everythimg in the world of beauty/fashion and hair! :)

I'll be starting tomorrow as my first delivery comes from online, and I will be reviewing some of them.
I hope you enjoy, and if anyone has any requests, I'm normally (depending what it is) happy to review anything you may be interested in trying yourself, or recommend anything for you!
I'm also happy to do make overs and tutorials for those who want it! :)

As Aussie always say, there's more to life than hair, but it's a good place to start!
:) xxxx
